We were thrilled to recently host Mary Doyle MP during Foster Care Week. Mary is the Federal Member for Aston which covers Knox and surrounding suburbs where many of our Kinship and Foster Carers reside.

The meeting was a great opportunity to discuss the complexities and challenges that our carers face, especially in navigating the system.

Mary is very knowledgeable and understanding about the out-of-home-care sector, and is a good advocate at a Federal Government level.

The meeting was also attended by two of our Foster Carers, Cindy and Dave, who were able to give first-hand insight into the experience of children within the system. They are both brilliant carers and strong advocates for children in the care system, and their presence was very appreciated.

Cindy and Dave also brought along their littlest of foster placements, who naturally stole the show and drew all of the attention with their bright eyes and beautiful smile.
