Anchor’s Teah Edelmaier wins at the Foster Care Association of Victoria (FCAV) Awards 2024
We are beyond thrilled to announce that Teah Edelmaier, our dedicated case manager from Anchor’s Foster Care team, emerged as winner at this year’s Foster Care Association of Victoria (FCAV) Awards, where she won the Commitment to Supporting Carers Award 2024!
Teah was one of two recipients honoured during the FCAV’s Carer Celebration and AGM, held on Friday, 13 September at the Hotel Windsor. The 2024 Foster Care Week theme, “Today’s Carers, Tomorrow’s Future”, highlights the vital role foster carers play in shaping the future of children and young people in care, and Teah’s unwavering commitment exemplifies this.
As part of the selection process for the award, Teah was nominated by two separate carer households, including that of Kym Doove, who shared: “I have been caring since 2008, and Teah is the best case manager I have had in all these years. She is a beautiful person who has lots of understanding and puts in 100% all the time.”
Teah’s passion for supporting foster carers and the children they care for shines through, and we are incredibly proud of the impact she makes every day. This award is beautiful recognition for the passion and commitment that she puts in, in support of our carers as they work together to change the lives of young people in our community each and every day.
