Each year, Anchor staff take time to head out to National Reconciliation Week events in the Yarra Ranges, Knox, and Cardinia areas to participate in community events.
This year, we are also pleased to have staff in the Sale area (Wellington Shire Council).
We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Wurundjeri, Bunurong, and Gunaikurnai peoples who are the traditional owners of the lands on which Anchor operates.
The events are always an amazing opportunity to connect with local Aboriginal communities, and engage with discussions on the need for Reconciliation, the impacts of colonisation, and improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
Anchor is proud of the work we do as an organisation in the space of reconciliation and support staff to attend events across the week.
