Our teams proudly gathered to surprise our CEO Heidi Tucker with a celebration of her 10^th year of being at the helm of Anchor Community Care.

Heidi’s leadership has driven very impressive change and growth at Anchor over the course of her 10 years in charge, as Anchor has quadrupled in size, become far more sophisticated and developed in our systems, services, and planning, and established ourselves as being an innovative and respected contributor in the homelessness and care service sectors.

Anchor deputy CEO, Fiona Nicholson recognised Heidi for all her achievements, as well as being a steadfast and dedicated leader.

“Her impact can be seen in the kind of organisation we have become. Heidi is a dynamic leader. She doesn’t just advocate for Anchor – she advocates for the whole sector,” she said.

“Her voice is respected, her values are clear, and her message is always focused on what matters most: outcomes for clients.”

Staff recognised Heidi for her integrity, determination, respect for staff, commitment to those who access Anchor’s services, and genuine belief in the work we do.

Heidi’s husband, Dave, was also in attendance and treated staff to a look at our CEO outside of work – with Heidi’s personal life also underscored by her strong sense of values, determination and integrity.

On behalf of the many staff, board members, and community partners that have been a part of Anchor’s journey over the past decade, we say a huge congratulations to Heidi, and look forward to what her leadership and guidance brings next.
