Anchor is pleased to announce the appointment of Sylvia Hadjiantoniou as Chair of the Board, effective Thursday, 21 November.
Ms Hadjiantoniou is an accomplished executive and board director with a deep commitment to social equity and community development.
Her career spans the public, private and non-profit sectors, where she has collaborated with diverse partners to drive large-scale infrastructure projects, develop community-focussed precincts, and lead impactful organisational change.
“I am truly honoured to take on the role of Chair at Anchor,” Ms Hadjiantoniou said.
“This organisation has a remarkable history of advocating for those facing homelessness and supporting them in building brighter futures.
“I look forward to working alongside my fellow Board Directors, and the passionate and dedicated staff to strengthen Anchor’s impact and help expand our reach to those most in need.”
Anchor CEO Heidi Tucker expressed her enthusiasm for Ms. Hadjiantoniou’s appointment, stating, “I am excited to work alongside Sylvia as she leads our Board, helping to expand the impact and capabilities for which Anchor is known.

Ms. Tucker also highlighted that, with Anchor’s recent work on refining its identity and branding, Ms. Hadjiantoniou’s leadership comes at a pivotal moment.

Ms Tucker also paid tribute to outgoing Board Chair Philip Campbell, highlighting his leadership and professionalism as being key to Anchor’s growth.
“Phillip Campbell has been visionary over the past six years, and it has been a pleasure to work with him. His commitment to Anchor has helped position us as a forward-looking organization, well-prepared to achieve our strategic goals. We are deeply grateful for his invaluable service.”
